Nick Elias worked with Haptic director Scott Grady on the full design and manufacture coordination of the Soundscape installation. The installation is an architecture of trickery: we worked with experts in the industry of light and sound to create a truly extraordinary sensory experience.

A CoeLux lighting system floods the interior with all the channels of light found in natural sunlight by using nanoparticles to mimic the earth’s atmosphere, resulting in a light indistinguishable from sunlight. The interior follows the principles of anechoic chambers, snuffing background noise, while leading technology in surround sound whistles bird song around and through the space to give a sense that you have just stepped into the clearing of a forest.
