Økernveien, Oslo

Project Credit: Haptic Architects

A new area of development is planned to the east of Oslo as part of the city’s growth. This proposal sits on a new public landscape that connects the still green-rich context.

The modest housing blocks are carefully arranged within the site to favour views, let light in, and allow people to move through the space. New shops and active amenity front the public roads with more quiet programmes, such as a day care, tucked away towards patches of trees.
